“Creating Destiny” is about forming one’s fate rather than being bound by it.
This is a quote from Liao-Fan’s Four Lessons, which was introduced to me by my brother a couple of years ago. It further states:
The principle behind creating one’s destiny is:
Refraining from all evil and practicing all forms of kindness brings about the dispersion of disasters and the coming of fortune.
The idea behind creating the future is through a set of good deeds. The more impactful those good deeds are, the more fortune the future holds for that person. In essence, the book preaches that a person has total control of his or her destiny by the seeds they sow today. It doesn’t matter what a person’s beliefs and religious views are, from Jesus to Confucius to Isaac Newton to Napoleon Hill, the main resonating principle is similarly based: good decisions yield good results.
This principle is one of the most important lessons to teach children and always a good reminder for us adults, from time to time, because sometimes I, admittedly, forget this when I am not aware and act out of harmony.

Fate exists, but only mundane people are bound by it. People who cultivate kindness will alter their “original” destiny for the better.
What say you about destiny?
